Candidates belonging to the notified districts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Madhya Pradesh who have passed 10th Class with minimum 50% marks and hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade are eligible to apply online.
The online application window is open from 12 March 2026 and will close on 11 April 2026. Applications must be submitted through the official South Central Railway website at www.scr.indianrailways.gov.in. There is no written test or interview – selection is purely merit-based on 10th and ITI marks.

RRC SCR 2026 Selection Process
There is no written examination or viva-voce. Selection will be purely based on a merit list prepared as follows:
Merit Score = Average of % Marks in 10th + % Marks in ITI (equal weightage to both)
- If two candidates have the same score → older candidate gets preference
- If date of birth is also the same → candidate who passed 10th earlier gets preference

- Select your State and District and upload address proof
- Enter your mobile number, email ID and create a password
- Verify via OTP sent to mobile and email
- Fill in all personal and educational details
- Register on NAPS portal at www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and get your RDAT Registration Number
- Enter the RDAT Registration Number in the application
- Upload photograph (JPEG, 100 DPI, max 1 MB, not older than 3 months)
- Upload signature and all required documents in PDF (max 2 MB)
- Select your training unit preferences (choose maximum options)
- Preview the form carefully before submission – changes cannot be made after submission
- Pay the application fee and download/print the confirmation
