Eligibility Criteria for BFUHS Staff Nurse 2026
Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfil all three of the following conditions:
- Should have passed Senior Secondary Part-II Examination or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution
- Should possess a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from a recognized university or institution
- Should be registered with the Punjab Nursing Registration Council established under the Punjab Nurses Registration Act, 1932

- Maximum Age: 37 years (as on 1st January 2026)

- Failure to secure a minimum of 50% in this test will disqualify the candidate from the final merit list

The written exam carries 140 marks. For the purpose of final merit, the written exam score is normalised to 90 marks, and up to 10 marks for experience are added to make a total of 100 marks for selection.

- Selection will be on the inter-se-merit of the written test and experience marks subject to the reservation prescribed by the Government of Punjab
- In case of a tie, preference will be given to the elder candidate
- No extra weightage shall be given for higher qualifications
