The Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) has released the official notification for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2026 on 09 March 2026. Online applications are invited for three Group ‘C’ posts — Personal Assistant (Stenographer Gr-III), Librarin, and Upper Division Clerk (UDC) — against vacancies in various Departments/Offices of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

📌 Post Preference: Candidates must clearly indicate their preference of posts and Department/Office while filling the online application. Preference once submitted is final and cannot be changed under any circumstance. The merit list shall be determined as per the order of preference indicated by the candidate.

✅ No Negative Marking. A candidate must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject in the written examination. Candidates securing less than 33% in any subject shall be deemed not eligible for selection.

APSSB CGL Syllabus 2026

(a) General Awareness – 50 Marks (25 Questions × 2 Marks)

Questions will test the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. Topics include Current Events, History, Polity, Constitution, Sports, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics, Everyday Science, Scientific Research, National/International Organizations/Institutions, etc. State-specific questions may also be asked.

(b) General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability – 50 Marks (25 Questions × 2 Marks)

Both verbal and non-verbal types — analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, figure classification, arithmetical number series, etc. Also includes questions on abstract ideas, symbols, and their relationships, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.

(c) Arithmetical & Numerical Ability – 50 Marks (25 Questions × 2 Marks)

Covers Number Systems, Simplification, Decimals, Data Interpretation, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs.

(d) Test of English Language & Comprehension – 50 Marks (25 Questions × 2 Marks)

Tests understanding and knowledge of English Language — spotting errors, fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, spelling/detecting misspelled words, idioms & phrases, one-word substitution, sentence improvement, active/passive voice, direct/indirect narration, shuffling of sentence parts, shuffling of sentences in a passage, cloze passage, comprehension passage.

Examination Centres

Candidates must select 3 examination centres in order of priority. No change will be permitted later. The Board reserves the right to cancel any centre and redirect candidates without citing reasons.

Documents Required at Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates must produce self-attested copies of the following along with the Admit Card and printout of the online application form:

  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Matriculation certificate issued by Board/University (proof of date of birth)
  • Graduation certificate issued by the Assistant Registrar/Controller of Examination/Vice Chancellor of the concerned University
  • Graduation mark sheet issued by the concerned University authority
  • Diploma in Stenography from a recognised institution (Post Code 04/25 only)
  • Certificate of 6-month Diploma in Computer Application recognised by APCTF/AICTE (Post Code 06/25 only)
  • APST Certificate (if applicable)
  • Permanent Resident Certificate (if applicable)
  • Intimation letter to Head of Department (for candidates in regular Government service)
  • PwD certificate (if applying under PwD quota)
  • Admit Card and printout of online application form
  • Any other relevant documents
⚠️ Warning: Candidates who fail to produce required documents during verification shall be excluded from the final merit list. No additional time will be given. Information in attached certificates not claimed in the application form will not be considered.

Important Notes

  • There is no provision for re-evaluation/re-checking of Answer Sheets in examinations conducted by APSSB.
  • APSSB reserves the right to cancel/withdraw any question from the test.
  • Provisional selection does not confer any right of appointment unless the Appointing Authority is satisfied about eligibility and suitability after verification.
  • Candidature shall remain purely provisional at all stages of the recruitment process.
  • Candidates must carry a valid Photo ID (Aadhaar/Voter ID/Driving Licence/PAN Card or any Govt-authorised photo ID) in original along with the Admit Card to the examination hall. Name/Father’s name in ID must match the Admit Card.
  • Candidates in regular Government service must submit an intimation letter to their Head of Department at the time of Document Verification.
