The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for admission to the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Course – 2026 in Government and Private Colleges/Institutions of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. The online application process commenced from 15 April 2026 at 11:30 AM and the last date to submit the online application form is 28 April 2026 (Midnight). The Common Entrance Test will be conducted offline at Jammu and Srinagar centres simultaneously. The date of the entrance test will be notified separately on the official JKBOPEE website jkbopee.gov.in.

JKBOPEE Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Eligibility Criteria
Domicile Requirement
- Candidate must be a Domicile of UT of J&K or UT of Ladakh.
- For candidates belonging to UT of Ladakh, the ST certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Ladakh shall be treated as a Domicile Certificate.
Educational Qualification
- Must have passed 10+2 or Equivalent Examination from a recognized Board.
- Must have obtained a Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized institution.
- Must be Registered as R.N.R.M. (Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife) with the J&K Nursing Council.
Special Provision for Male Nurses: Male nurses trained before the implementation of the new Integrated Course, besides being registered as a Nurse with J&K Nursing Council, must produce evidence of training approved by the Indian Nursing Council for similar duration in any one of the following areas instead of midwifery:
- O.T. Techniques
- Ophthalmic Nursing
- Leprosy Nursing
- T.B. Nursing
- Psychiatric Nursing
- Neurological and Neuro Surgical Nursing
- Community Health Nursing
- Cancer Nursing
- Orthopedic Nursing
Medical Fitness
- Candidate must be medically fit.
Special Provision for GNM Final Year Students
Candidates who have appeared or are appearing in the Final Year/Semester of the GNM Examination 2026 and whose result is pending can also apply, subject to the condition that they must submit the Final Year/Semester Marks Card at the time of admission. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of their candidature without any further claim.
